- Expected to top £100,000
- 4.7-litre V8 engine packs 444bhp
It's the most powerful Maserati GranTurismo yet! The GranTurismo MC Stradale is a hotter version of the existing car - it's more powerful and lighter, but Maserati claims that fuel consumption and ride quality are no worse than they are in the existing car. What's all the fuss about?
The 4.7-litre V8 engine kicks out 444bhp - that's 11bhp more than the current GranTurismo S - and it has a top speed of 186mph. The Italian firm also claims that the driving experience is much sharper.
Maserati hasn't quoted a 0-62mph time, but a little more power and a little less weight should make it slightly faster than the existing car.
Any new technology?
Not really - the GranTurismo is more of an homage to famous racing cars. It takes its inspiration from the Trofeo GranTurismo MC racing car, which competes in the GT4 class.
